The length of a rectangle is 3 times it's width. If the perimeter of the rectangle is 144, find the sides of the rectangle.

Let the width be x

Then the length would be 3x

As perimeter=2×(l+b)

=2×(3x+x)

=2×4x

8x

But the perimeter is 144

Hence,x is 144/8=18

Hence the length is 3x which is 54

Hence the breadth is x which is 18
