 Let \: breadth \:of \: a \: rectangle = b \:cm \\Length (l) = ( b + 4 ) \:cm

/* According to the problem given */

 Perimeter \:of \:the \: rectangle = 40 \:cm

 \implies 2( l + b ) = 40 \:cm

 \implies [( b + 4) + b]  = \frac{40}{2}

 \implies 2b + 4 = 20

 \implies 2b = 20 - 4

 \implies 2b = 16

 \implies b = \frac{16}{2}

 \implies b = 8 \:cm

 Now, Length (l) = b + 4 \\= 8 + 4 \\= 12\:cm

Therefore.,

 \red { Length }\green {= 12 \:cm }

 \red { Breadth }\green {= 8 \:cm }
