Let the breadth be x
then length = 2.5x
area = 2.5x²
new length = 2.5x - 2
new breadth = x+1.5
new area = (2.5x - 2)×(x+1.5)
given
2.5x²+11=2.5x²+1.75x-3
2.5x²-2.5x²+11+3=1.75x
1.75x=14
x=14÷1.75
x=8
so breadth = 8cm
length= 2.5×8= 20 cm
hope it helps
