The length of a rectangular field is 8meters less than twice it's breadth. If the perimeter of the rectangular field is 56 meters , find it's length and breadth

Therefore,length = 2x-8

The perimeter of the rectangular field = 56m

The perimeter of the rectangular field = 2(l+b)

56=2(2x-8+x)

56=2(3x-8)

56/2=3x-8

28=3x-8

28+8=3x

36=3x

x=36/3

x=12

Therefore,breath = 12m

length = 2x-8

= 2(12)-8

= 24-8

= 16m
