Answer:

length=x+40

breadth=x

fencing the plot=Rs.53 per meter

total rs. = 10,600

10600 \div 53 \\  = 200

the plot is of=200 m

x + 40 + x = 200 \\ 2x + 40 = 200 \\ 2x = 200 - 40 \\ 2x = 160 \\ x =  \frac{160}{2}  \\ x = 80

length=80+40=120

breadth=80

Answer:

Length is 70 m and breadth is 30 m.

Step-by-step explanation:

Solution :

Length = 40 m more than its breadth

Cody of fencing = Rs. 10600

Length and breadth = ?

Let the -

  • Breadth be b
  • Length be b + 40

Perimeter of the rectangle -

Divide the cost of fencing by rate of fencing

⇒ 10600 ÷ 53

⇒ 200

Perimeter = 200 m

Perimeter = 2(Length + Breadth)

⇒ (b + 40 + b) × 2 = 200

⇒ 2b + 40 = 100

⇒ 2b = 60

⇒ b = 60/2

⇒ b = 30

Breadth = 30

Length =

⇒ 30 + 40

⇒ 70

Length = 70

Therefore, length is 70 m and breadth is 30 m.
