Hi there,
Given,
Area = 72m^2
Let,the breadth of the room be x
A/q , Length will be x+6
Area= l×b
72=(x+6)×X
72=X^2+6x
x = 6 or -12
-12 is not possible.
hence,breadth = 6 m

Heya ......^_^;
.
Here's ur ans. .⬇
____________________________
Area = 72 m^2
Area of rectangle = l × b
↪ Let the breadth = x
Then , according to the question
Length = x + 6
Area = x ( x+6)
72 = x^2 + 6x
x^2 + 6x - 72 = 0
x^2 + 12x - 6x - 72 = 0
x ( x + 12) - 6 (x + 12 ) = 0
x = -12
x = 6
Since breadth can never be negative
x = 6m
x+ 6 = 12 m
Length = 12 m
and
Breadth = 6m
