Here's your answer !!

The longest rod that can be placed in this room is its diagonal. Hence we must find the diagonal of this cuboidal room.

Given: Length = 12 m , Breadth = 8 m , Height = 6 m 

Diagonal of a cuboid = √ ( l² + b² + h² )

Diagonal = √ ( 12² + 8² + 6² )

= √ ( 144 + 64 + 36 )

= √ 244

Hence the length of longest rod that can be placed is √ 244 m.
