let the breadthth of the rectangle be = x
so the length will be 3x
perimeter=56m
A.T.Q.
perimeter of rectangle=2(l+b)
2(x+3x)=56m
2x +6x=56m
8x =56m
x=56/8
x=7
breadth=7m
length=3x
=3×7=21.
hope it helps you

Let the length be x

We know length is 3 times it's width and hence,

Width= x/3

Now perimeter = 2(length + width) =56

Putting values, 2(x + x/3) = 56

(4/3)*x = 28

x= 28*3/4 = 21m

Hence it's length is 21m.
