Answer :

Given :

Length of side of a triangle is 9cm , 40cm , 41cm

Required to find :

  1. To find whether it forms an right angled triangle or not.

Solution :

To find whether a triangle is right angled triangle is very easy.

Here in the question he had given some measurements.

Using this measurements we can find whether it is right angled triangle is very easy

Here, we have to use the rule of pythagoran triplet.

This is because we already know that any given right angled triangle needs to satisfy the the rule of pythagoran triplet .

We can't form any right angled triangle without satisfying this rule.

So ,

In above triangle he not mentioned any angle neither which is hypotenuse which is side ?

Hence , we have to use hit trial and error method to find the answer .

Let's coming to the question

What is pythagoran triplet ?

It is a rule in mathematics which states if any given three number i.e. a,b,c.

It states that

Sum of the squares of any two numbers is equal to the square of the third number.

That is

 {a}^{2}  +  {b}^{2}  =  {c}^{2}

However, using this above rule we are going to solve this question.

Now ,

Let's take any two numbers in place of a and b and remaining number in place of c

That is,

(9 {)}^{2} + (40 {)}^{2} =( 41 {)}^{2} \\ 81 + 1600 \: \: \: \: = 1681 \\ 1681 = 1681 \\ hence \: solved

And finally,

The pythagoran triplet rule was been satisfied.

Conclusion:

Since the measurements are obeying the rule of pythagoran triplet.

Hence,

This rule also satisfies pythagoran theorem.

So therefore,

The triangle is a right angled triangle.

Answer:

Left side is equal to the right side. Hence the three sides 9, 40, 41 satisfy the Pythagoras theorem. Therefore, these three sides form the sides of a right angled triangle.
