The length of the base of a triangle is12 cm and it's area is 108 cm square find the height of the triangle if the height of this triangle is halved and the length of the base is doubled then find the area of the new triangle

height =?

therefore area of triangle = b x h

                                  108  = 12 x h

                                    h = 108/12= 9 cm

if h is halved= 9/2= 4.5 cm

and b is doubled= 12 x 2 = 24 cm

area of triangle=  b x h

                        = 24 x 4.5

                        = 108 cm square

the area of the triangle would remain the same
