Step-by-step explanation:

simple time btw 10:10 am to 10:25 am is 15 minutes

The minute hand of a clock sweeps 360° in 60 minutes.

Hence the angle swept by the minute hand of the clock in 1 min =360° / 60 = 6°

Angle swept by the minute hand of the clock in 15 minutes =6°×15 = 90∘

Hence the minute hand will sweep an area equal to the area of a sector of radius 14 cm and angle 90∘

We know that area of a sector of sectoral angle θ and radius r is given by θ *πr^2 /360

Here θ=90°and r =14cm.

Hence we have the area of the sector =90π(14)^2 / 360

=154 cm^2

Hence the angle swept by the minute hand of the clock in 15 mins = 154 cm^2
