the length of the parallel sides of a Trapezium are in the ratio 3 ratio 5 and the distance between them is 10 cm if the area of trapezium is 120 CM square find the length of its parallel sides

area of trapezium = h/2×( sum of parallel sides)
=10/2 × (3x + 5x)=120cm
; =5 × 8x = 120
=40x = 120
=x =120 ÷40
= x = 3

so, 3x =3×3 =9 cm
and, 5x=5× 3= 15cm
