Area of triangle given sides a,b,c is

A=✓p(p-a)(p-b)(p-c)

Where p=(a+b+c)/2

Therefore,given the sides 5,12,13

p=(5+12+13)/2=15

Area=✓15(15-12)(15-13)(15-5)=✓900=30

Also,

Area of triangle=1/2*b*h

Base=13

h=60/13=4.615
