  • marked price of a bicycle is ₹2800
  • than a discount of 8% was given over it
  • also a 5% sales tax was also taken

\huge\underbrace\pink {\dag To Find:- \dag}

Sales price of bicycle

\huge\underbrace\purple{\dag Solution:- \dag}

the marked price of a bicycle is ₹2800

therefore price after discount of  %

discount=\frac{8}{100} \times 2800

discount =0.08 \times 2800

discount =224

price after discount = 2800-224

=2576

Tax of 5% on discounted price \implies \frac{5}{100} \times 2576

Tax=0.05 \times 2576

Tax=128.8

Price of bicycle after tax = price after discount + tax

=2576+128.8

=₹2704.8

Hence price of bicycle after giving discount of 8% and sales tax of 5% S.P.\implies Rs.2704.8
