Question:

The marked price of a watch is Rs. 1600 after two successive discount it is sold for rs. 1224 if the rate of firest discount is 10% what is the role of second discount ?

Solution:

M.P of watch =  Rs. 1600

After Ist discount of 10%

=> 1600 \times 90100

=> Rs. 14401600 × 90100

=> Rs. 1440

Customer pays (final S.P)

=> Rs. 1224 × 100 × 1440

=> (1440−1224) × 100 × 1440 = (1440 – 1224)

 \implies 216

 \implies 216 \times \frac{100}{1440}

 \implies 15
