answer:

c.p+25% of c.p=m.p

m.p —15% of m.p=c.p+200(profit)

m.p—(15/100)m.p=c.p+200

(85/100)m.p=c.p+200

let the following equation be "q"

m.p=c.p+c.p of 25%

m.p=(125/100)c.p

m.p=(5/4)c.p

substitute in the equation"q"

(85/100)[5/4(c.p)]=c.p+200

(17/16)c.p=c.p+200

(17/16)c.p—(16/16)c.p=200

c.p/16=200

c.p=Rs.3200

25% of c.p(Rs.3200)=Rs.800

m.p=c.p+25% of c.p

m.p=Rs.3200+Rs.800

m.p(market price) =Rs.4000
