Answer:

200 units and Rs 11,000

Given market value of mutual fund is 400 crore rupees which is divided into 8 crore units . here we have to find the number of units we get and also the amount by selling these units.

This means 400 crore rupees is divided into 8 crore units

Therefore 1 crore unit is divided into 400 crore / 8 crore which is 50 rupees per unit.

(a) It is given that you invest rs 10,000. Now we have

for 1 unit it is rs 50

for rs 10,000 it will be 10,000 / 50 = 200 units

(b) market value is increased by 10%

So 10% of 50 will be rs 5 and 50 + 5 = rs 55

Here is your answer
Market Value of mutual fund is Rs 400 crores

Total units is 8 crore
Now
Unit price is
 = \frac{400 \: crores}{8 \: crores} \\ \\ = 50 \: rupees
If we invested Rs 10,000 in the unit
then we have
Number of units is
 = \frac{10000}{50} \\ \\ = 200 \:
B)

If we sell it when it is increased by 10%

So Unit price is increases is
 = 50+ \frac{10}{100} \times 50 \\ \\ = 50 + 5 \\ \\ = 55
Therefore we get by selling them is
= 55 × 200
= Rs 11,000
