The mass of a body of 100kg has density 0.5g/cm3. Calculate its volume.

Here,Mass m = 100kg,

density p = 500kgm-³

Volume of the body, V = m/p

100/500=0.2 m³

Weight of water displaced

vpg

0.2×10³×g

200gkgwt

Mass of water displaced=200kg

the additional mass which can be added to body , so that body can sink

200-100=100 kg
