The value of b-a is 5

Step-by-step explanation:

Data : a , b, c

Mean = 50

Mean = \frac{\text{Sum of all observations}}{3}

50= \frac{a+b+c}{3}

50 \times 3= a+b+c

150= a+b+c

We are given that the median is 35

So, Mid value = b = 35

150= a+35+c

150 - 35= a+c

115= a+c --A

We are given that  c-a = 55 ---B

Add A and B

115+55= a+c+c-a

170= 2c

\frac{170}{2}= c

85= c

Substitute the value in B

c-a = 55

85-a=55

85-55=a

30=a

Now b-a = 35-30=5

Hence The value of b-a is 5
