The mean of 10 numbers is 20. If 4 is multiplied to each number then 6 is subtracted then  the mean of the new data is ……​

 mean= \frac{sum\: of\: the\: outcomes}{total\: no.\: of\: outcomes}

20 =  \frac{sum\: of\: the\: outcomes}{10}

20×10 = sum of the outcomes

i.e. 200

New sum after multiplying 4 to each no., we get__

200×4 = 800

Then, subtracting 6,we get___

800-(6×10) => 800-60 => 730

 new\: mean= \frac {730}{10}

= 73
