Answer:

NEW MEAN = 48/3 = 16

IF THE DATA IS ADDED ,SUBTRACTED ,DIVIDED OR MULTIPLIED TO A SAME NUMBER THAN THE MEAN IS ALSO AFFECTED THE SAME

SO THE DATA IS DUVIDED BY THREE SO THE MEAN WOULD ALSO BE DIVIDED BY THREE

HOPE IT HELPS.....

Answer:

hey there,

here is your answer

mean = sum of observation / no of observation

ATQ,

mean= 48

no of observation = 10

48 = x1 + x2 + .......+ x10 / 10

x1 + x2 +.....+ x3 = 480

if each observation is divided by three,

then dividing both sides by 3,

x1/3 + x2/3 +....+ x3/3 = 48/3

New sum of observation = 16

New mean = 16/10

New mean = 1.6

thank u
