New mean is less than the old mean.

Step-by-step explanation:

\textrm{Mean } = \frac{\textrm{Sum of all observations}}{\textrm{Number of Observations}}

Now, mean of 68 numbers is 18.

⇒  {68} = \frac{\textrm{Sum of all observations}}{18}

So, sum of 18 numbers = 68 x 18 = 1224

Now, each number is divided by 6 .

So, new sum is 1224 / 6 = 204

So, new mean = New Sum / 18

= 204 / 18 = 11.33

So, new mean is less than the old mean.
