The first 10 even numbers = 2,4,6,8,10,12,14,16,18,20
No.of observations = 10
Sum of observations = 110
Mean = sum of observations/no.of observations
= 110/10
= 11
Therefore mean of first 10 even numbers = 11

Answer:

The "mean" of first 10 even numbers will be 11.

Solution:

The first 10 natural even numbers are given as follows

We know that the even number starts from the value 2. So, starting from 2, the ten even numbers are

2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20

To find mean, the following formula is used

M e a n = \frac { \text {Sum of the observations} } { \text {Number of observations} }

∴Mean of these even numbers

\begin{aligned} = & \frac { 2 + 4 + 6 + 8 + 10 + 12 + 14 + 16 + 18 + 20 } { 10 } \\\\ & = \frac { 110 } { 10 } = 11 \end{aligned}

Thus, the "mean" of the first 10 even natural numbers will be 11.
