Suppose age of father is a and son age is b;
(a+b)/2=27;
a+b=54 eq. 1
after 18 years
a+18=2(b+18);
a-2b=36-18=18; eq. 2
now solve eq. 1 and eq. 2
a+b=54;
a-2b=18;
3b=36;
b=12; present age of son
a+b=54;
a+12=54;
a=54-12=44; present age of father
