the measure of a linear pair of angles are x and y. if x is greater than y by 1/3 the measure of a right, find the values of x and y​

Answer:

x=y+1/3×90

x=y+30

x and y form linear pair

x+y = 180°

y+30+y =180°

2y = 180°- 30°

2y = 150°

y = 75°

therefore x= y+30

or x = 75°+30°

x = 105°

hence x=105° and y = 75°
