according to the empirical formula....there are equal no of carbon and hydrogen atoms...let it be x ..then equating atomic weights...x(13)=78..x=6

adarsh63: thanQ but my option is a) C2H4 B) C2H2 C) C6H6 D) C4H4
JunaidMirza: C is the correct option. t
divyamuchurami: yoo...
adarsh63: thanks

Emperical formula mass = 12 + 1 = 13 grams

n = Molecular mass / Emperical formula mass
= 78 g / (13 g)
= 6

Molecular formula = 6 × CH = C₆H₆

adarsh63: Thank you so much
JunaidMirza: You’re welcome :)
