b)  Jahangir is the correct answer. East India Company has been founded on 31 December 1600 and main purpose is to trade in India.

Due to their Dutch and French competitors at the time, East India Company failed to enter Indian market until 1608.

East India Company first enter into Surat located on west coast of India and Jahangir gave permission to it.
