(i) From the graph, it can be observed that the maximum number of students (i.e., 32) watched TV for 4 - 5 hours.

(ii) The students who watched TV for less than 4 hours are the students who watched TV for 1 - 2 hours or 2 - 3 hours or 3 - 4 hours.

Hence, total number of students = 4 + 8 + 22 = 34

(iii) The students who watched TV for more than 5

hours are the students who watched TV for 5 - 6 hours or 6 - 7 hours.

Hence, total number of students = 8 + 6 = 14

In the above Question , a bar graph is given for Number of Students Vs Hours of TV watched per day for a given number or students .

Interference from the graph -

See the given attachment .

From the above graph , we can gather the following information -

Bar 1 - 4 students watched TV for 1 - 2 hours per day .

Bar 2 - 8 students watched TV for 2 - 3 hours per day .

Bar 3 - 22 students watched TV for 3 - 4 hours per day .

Bar 4 - 32 students watched TV for 4 - 5 hours per day .

Bar 5 - 8 students watched TV for 5 - 6 hours per day .

Bar 6 - 6 students watched TV for 6 - 7 hours per day .

Total Number Of Students counted -

=> 4 + 8 + 22 + 32 + 8 + 6

=> 90 students

To find -

(i) For how many hours did the maximum number of students watch TV?

(ii) How many students watched TV for less than 4 hours?

(iii) How many students spent more than 5 hours in watching TV?

Solution -

( 1 ) The maximum number of students watched TV for 4 - 5 hours in a day.

( 2 ) 4 students watched TV for 1 - 2 hours per day , 8 students watched TV for 2 - 3 hours per day , and 22 students watched TV for 3 - 4 hours per day .

So , total number of students who watched TV for less than 4 hours in a day -

=> 4 + 8 + 22

=> 34 students.

34 Students watched TV for less than 4 hours .

( 3 ) 8 students watched TV for 5 - 6 hours per day , and 6 students watched TV for 6 - 7 hours per day .

So , total number of students who watched TV for more than 5 hours in a day -

=> 8 + 6

=> 14 students.

13 Students watched TV for more than 5 hours .
