your answer is here ---

first write the balanced equation --

CaCO3 + 2HCl ====> Cacl2 + CO2 + H2O

from the above equation --

2 mole of HCl produce 1 mole of CO2

so, 3 mole of HCl produce 1/2×3 = 1.5 mole of CO2 ..

2 mole HCl ==> 1 mole CO2

therefore,3mole HCl ==> 1/2×3 = 1.5 mole HCl.


so, option (b) is right
