Given,

1 is added to its denominator, it becomes 1/2.

let,Numerator be X.

i.e,

x / x + 2.

X / X + 2 + 1 = 1/2

X / X + 3 = 1/2

[ cross multiplication]

2X = X + 3

=》 X = 3

Numerator = 3

Denominator = 5.

The fraction is 3/5 as the numerator of a fraction is 2 less than the denominator.
