Answer :

Given that , the object distance is 10 cm and focal length 15 cm of a concave mirror.

So We have from the Question;

  • Object distance (u) = -10 cm

Object distance (u) = -10 cm •Focal Length (f) = -15 cm

From the Mirror Formula ;

1/f = 1/u + 1/v

1/-15 = 1/-10 = 1/v

1/-15 - ( 1/-10) = 1/v

-1/15 + 1/10 =1/v

-2 + 3/30 = 1/v

•°• 1/v = 1/30

°•° Image Distance (v) = 30 cm

Magnification = -v/u

= -30/-10

=3

Therefore, 30 cm and 3 are the Image distance and Magnification of Concave mirror respectively.

Answer

Given that : the object distance is 10 cm and focal length 15 cm of a concave mirror.

According to the Question

Object distance = -10 cm

Focal Length = -15 cm

the Mirror Formula : 1/f = 1/u + 1/v

1/f = 1/u + 1/v

1/v = 1/-15 = 1/-10

1/v = 1/-15 - ( 1/-10)

1/v = -2 + 3/30 =

1/v = 1/30

v = 30 cm

Now, We have to find the Magnification of Concave mirror.

M = -v/u

= -30/-10

= 3

Answer :

Image Distance = 30 cm

Magnification = 3
