since the difference between the readings of odometer at the start of journey and at the end of journey is 400km so distance traveled is also 400km

average speed=total distance/time

400000m/28800s
=13.88m/s

in km/h --
400/8 = 50km/h

Given :
Initial odometer reading=2000kmFinal odometer reading=2400kmTotal distance= Final distance- Initial distance=2400-200=400kmTotal time=8hAverage speed =?
A formula to be used :Average speed= Total Distance/Total time
Average speed in Km/hr:Average speed=400/8=50 km/hr
Average Speed in m/s:1km/hr=5/18 m/s
∴50km/hr=50x5/18=250/18=13.88m/s
