The ones digit , tens digit and hundreds digit of a 3-digit number are in the ratio 4:3:2 . If the difference of this number and the number obtained on reversing the digits is 396 , find the original 3-digit number .​

then the number is 2a×100 + 3a×10 + 4a = 200a+30a+4a=234a

The reverse number is 4a×100 + 3a×10 + 2a=400a+30a+2a=432a

The difference is 396

So 432a-234a=396

198a=398

a=2

so the number is 468
