Cost of metal =Rs in 100

Total cost =Rs 100(200-x)

Number of costumer =(200-x) x

Day revanue =(200-x) x

Total profit = Day revenue - Total cost

=(200-x)x-(100)(200-x)

Given :  a particular meal cost Rs 100

if the menu price of the meal is x rupees, then the number of customers who will order that meal at that price in an evening is given by the function D(x) = 200−x

To Find : his day revenue

Total cost

profit

Solution:

Cost per meal = 100 Rs

Price for a meal = x  Rs

Demand  of meals = 200 - x

Revenue = Demand  * Price

= (200 - x) x

=> R(x) = 200x  - x²

his day revenue  200x  - x²

Total cost = 100 (200 - x)

= 20000 - 100x

total cost  = 20000 - 100x

Profit = Revenue - Total cost

Profit =   200x - x² - (20000 - 100x)

=> Profit = 300x - x² - 20000

P(x) = -x² + 300x  - 20000

Profit =  -x² + 300x  - 20000
