Answer:

3x + 2y =5

x + y = 2.......multiply the equation by 2

3x + 2y = 5

2x + 2y = 4

by changing the sign the 2y will be eliminated

hence x = 1

put x=1 in equation 2

x + y = 2

1 + y = 2

y = 2 - 1

y = 1

solution (x , y) = (1 , 1)

hope this helps ☺️☺️☺️☺️

Answer:

x=1 and y=1

Step-by-step explanation:

3x+2y=5 -(I)

x+y=2 -(II)

Multiply (II) equation by 2 and then subtract it from (I)

3x+2y=5 -(I)

x+y=2 -(II)×2

After multiplying we get

3x+2y=5 -(I)

2x+2y=4 -(II)

Now, (I) - (II), after doing this step we get the value of x=1

and by substituting in above (I) equation we get the value of y=1
