Given :-

The parallel sides of trapezium are 13cm and 19cm

The distance between them is 9 cm

Solution :-

As we know ,

Area of trapezium = 1 /2 * h ( a + b )

Here,

Parallel sides = 13 and 19

Height = 9 cm

Put the required values in the formula ,

Area of trapezium = 1/2 * 9 * ( 13 + 19 )

Area of trapezium = 1/2 * 9 * 32

Area of trapezium = 9 * 16

Area of trapezium = 114cm^2

Related Formulas :-

• Area of square = Side * Side

• Area of rectangle = L * B

• Area of rhombus = d^2 / 2

• Area of parallelogram = base * height

• Area of triangle

= 1/2 * base * height.

Given parallel sides = 13 cm and 19 cm

Distance between them (Height) = 9 cm

Area of trapezium

 =  \frac{1}{2}  \times (sum \: of \: parallel \: sides) \times height

 =  \frac{1}{2}  \times 32 \times 9

 = 144 {cm}^{2}
