s Answer:

Perimeter of the rectangle= 40 cm

Let the length be x cm.

then, the breadth will be (x-10) cm as, the breadth  is 10 cm less than the length. So,

LENGTH= x cm

BREADTH= x-10 cm

therefore the breadth is=

 2(l+b)= 40

=> 2(x+x-10)=40

=> 2(2x-10)=40

=>4x-20=40

=>4x= 40+20=60

=> x=60/4=15.

So, length(x) of the rectangle is 15 cm.

Then, breadth is x-10 cm. So , putting the value in breadth i.e.( x-10) cm,

  x-10

=> 15-10

=> 5cm.

Thus, the breadth of the rectangle is 5cm.
