the perimeter of a rectangle is 52cm. what is its dimensions if the width is 2cm more than one -third of the length?

Let the length be a
Width = (a/3) + 2

Perimeter = 52
2(a+a/3 + 2) = 52
=> (3a +a)/3 + 2 = 26
=> 4a/3 = 24
=> 4a = 72
=> a = 18

Length = 18 cm
Width = 8 cm

Let length be x= one third of x =x/3
Breadth = x/3+2
