Let the Breadth of rectangle(b) = x m.

 then length(l) = (x+4) m.

A.T.Q

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l +b)

perimeter of rectangle = 20 m. (Given)

2(l+b) = 20

2(x+4+x) = 20

2(2x+4) =20

4x+8 =20

4x = 20-8

4x= 12

x = 12/4

x= 3 m

so, Breadth (b) = x = 3 m.

And, length(l) = x +4  =
3+4 = 7 m

Hence,  its dimension is 7m×3m

Area of rectangle= length × Breadth

Area of rectangle= 7 × 3= 21 m²

Area of rectangle= 21 m²
