the perimeter of a right triangle is 12 cm and its hypotenuse is of length 5 cm find the other two sides and calculate its area

We can achieve this in logical way...

since (3,4,5) are triplets as 5 is given hypotenuse ...And perimeter by adding gets 12 satisfys.....

so area is 1/2×3×4
=6cm²

a+b+c = 12,
hypotenuse is 5 , then base and height will 4 and 5 by pythagorus triplet.
area = 1/2*base * height 
= 1/2*4*3
= 2*3
=6cm square
