Let A(0,0),B(1,0),C(0,1)
Perimeter = AB+BC+CA
AB=1 unit BC=root 2 units CA=1 unit
Perimeter= 1+1+root 2 =2+root 2 units

The points of the triangle are: A(0,0), B(1,0) and C(0,1)

Now AB = √{(1 - 0)2 +(0 - 0)2 }

=> AB = 1

    BC =  √{(0 - 1)2 + (1 - 0)2 }

=> BC =  √{1 + 1}

=> BC =  √2

    CA = √{(0 - 0)2 +(1 - 0)2 }

=> CA = 1

Now perimeter of the triangle = AB +BC +CA = 1 + √2 + 1

= 2 + √2
