the perimeter of an isosceles trapezoid is 110m and the bases are 40m and 30m in length calculate the length of the non parallel side of trapezoid and it area

let non parallel sides be x
40 m +30m+x+x = 110
2x = 110- 70
x = 40/2=20m
draw a perpendicular from any upper point
by using pythagoras
(10)²+ (height)²= (20)²
100+(height)²= 200
height= √100 = 10
= area = 1/2(a+b)* h
= 1/2(30 + 40)*10
= 1/2*70*10
= 350m²
