SOLUTION :

Given :

• The perimeter of rectangle park is 180m
• It ratio of its length and breadth is 2:1.

To find :

• The area of rectangle

Let the length of rectangle

is 2x and it's breadth is 'x'

We know that,

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)

⇒                             180 = 2(2x + x)

⇒                             180 = 2 × 3x

⇒                             180 = 6x

⇒                                 x = 180 ÷ 6

∴                                x = 30m

So,

Length of rectangle = 2x = 2 × 30 = 60 m

and breadth of rectangle = x = 30m

Now,

      We find area of rectangle

Area = Length × Breadth

        = 60m × 30m

        = 1800 m²
