Perimeter of 1st square = 4×s1 => 16

=> s1 = 4 cm

Area of 1st square = 4² => 16 cm²

\\

Perimeter of 1st square = 4×s2 => 12

=> s2 = 3 cm

Area of 2nd square = 3² => 9 cm²

\\

area of the square = Area of 1st square + Area of 2nd square

=> s² = 16 + 9 cm²

=> s² = 25 cm²

=> s = \sqrt{25 cm²}

=> s = 5 cm\:\:\:\:\:\: Ans.
