The physical activities performed repeatedly according to the command of the
group leader is called drill. Drills make our body strong. During mass drills they have to
stand in such a manner that the number of rows is equal to the number of students in
each row.
a) If 625 students are arranged for the mass drill, find how many students in each
row.
b) If there are 42 students in each row, then find the total number of students who
participated in the mass drill.
c) In Class VIII 150 students participated in a mass drill, how many students would
be left out in the above arrangement ?
d) If 256 students form a square shape, what is the length of the side of the square?
