P ( -4 , 4) and Q (-16,b)

y^2 = ax

For P,

x =-4 and y= 4

4^2 = a ×-4

16 =-4 a

16/-4 = a

-4 = a -----(1)

For Q,

x=-16 and y = b

y^2 = ax

We got a = -4 from equation 1

b^2 = -4 × -16

b^2 = 64 ( - × - = + )

b= √64

b = 8

\bf{Value \: of \: a =\: -4 \: and \: b\:=\: 8}
