The population of a town has increased by 5% in a year. last year its population was 20320.what is the present population of the town

Last year's population = 20320

Population increases at the rate of 5 % per year.

Present population of the town = Last year's population + Net increase in population in one year

⇒ 20320 + (20320 × 5)/100

⇒ 20320 + 1016

= 21336

So, the present population is 21336 of the town.
