Given, power of pump = 2kW =2000WTime (t)= 60secHeight (h) = 10mg = 10m/s^2
As you know, power =work done per unit time.Work done = mgh = m ×10×10 =100m
Therefore, 2000W = 100m/60s
Therefore, m = 1200kgSo, the pump can raise 1200kg of water in one minute.

Given:

The power of the pump motor is 2kW

Height = 10m

Time taken = 60 sec

To Find:

volume of water per minute can raise to a height of 10m.

Solution:

 Power = \frac{Energy}{Time}     (E = Mgh/t)

  changing kW into W

( 2×1000) = 2000W

  2000 = \frac{m*10*10}{60}

     m = 1200 kg

Therefore, 1200kg of water per minute will rise to a height of 10m.
