the power of myopic eye is given by -0.6 D . P = 1/f ⇒ f = 1/0.6 = 10/6 m = 500/3 cm.

Near point of myopic eye = 25 cm.

As the object is to seen at infinity , u = ∞ and v = ? and f = 500/3

Using lens formula,  1/v -1/u = 1/f

                               1/v - 1/∞= 3/500

                               1/v = 3/500 ⇒ v= 500/3 cm = 166 2/3 cm
