let the present age of Rohan be x
and his mother's age be y

X=(1÷5) y
five year later
X=(X+5) and y=(y+5)
x+5=(1÷3)(y+5)
put X=(1÷5) you will get the answer as
X=5, y=25.

Define x:

Let Rohan be x years old

Mother = 5x years old

Express their age 5 years later:

Rohan = x + 5

Mother = 5x + 5

Solve x:

Rohan will be 1/3 times his mother's age

x + 5 = 1/3 (5x + 5)

3(x + 5) = (5x + 5)

3x + 15 = 5x + 5

2x = 10

x = 5

Find their present age:

Rohan = x = 5 years old

Mother = 5x = 5(5) = 25 years old

Answer: Rohan is 5 years old and his Mother is 25 years old
